How Sound promotes Healing
Healing with sound is
an ancient practice, extending back to the Egyptians, Greeks, Tibetans,
Chinese, Japanese, Australian aborigines, native Hawaiians, and some of
the native American cultures. In many cultures it has been used right
through to the present day. Music and sound were used as the the first original medicine.
Sound Healing is an effective and
proven modality that uses vibrational sound waves to help reduce stress, alter
consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being and better health.
Sound has also been shown to be a vital part of the healing process for cancer
patients undergoing chemotherapy and side effects especially for pain relief
management. Click here to learn more from Dr. Oz and Dr. Mitchel Gaynor on You Tube.
During our waking state, the normal
frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta. Sound tools entrain the brain to
move into the deeper Alpha and Theta brain wave frequencies. These are the
frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind
and intuition. Modern medicine can now measure and thus confirm the practice of
sound as a means to help facilitate healing. Thus, sound is a type of Energy Medicine that creates space so clients can get relief and help themselves in the healing process. With the help of a sound practitioner, stress disorders, pain, depression, and the balancing the emotional
roller coaster we sometimes are on can be much alleviated and more.
